Is there any other ways of repairing it without replacing the engine or taking the engine apart 2 replace the case. * +

yes, aluminium welding is do-able on engine cases, did it crack two parts?like where a gasket joins two casings, also is there a hydraulic clutch slave cylinder in that region or does it run a cable clutch? Either way,the cheapest solution is welding it.-just make sure,if it's repaired right on,or near a seal/gasket ,that the seal surface is completely flat, otherwise it will almost certainly leak. * +

Thanks . Its cable clutch . I was wondering would the heat damage any seals * +

i'm also thinking that it wouldn't be possible to repair without removing it from the bike, firstly because it'd probably catch fire and secondly it'd be impossible to make a nice weld without thouroughly cleaning the case and removing traces of oil from the crack. When you try and weld dirty/oily aluminium, the heat brings all the cr*p up and produces a bad, bubbly weld. * +
