M42b18,found in the early e36 318is and e30 318is,m42b18 is a 1.8 dohc 16v,m40b18 is a 1.8 8v sohc motor,m42b18 produces 103kw and 175nm and redlines at 7000rpm * +

Yes its cheaper and more reliable but i need to know if that stroker kit is gonna work on the m40 the same way as the m42 * +

I can get the rods, pistons and crank and have it bored out for less than R5 000. Thats if the bottom ends are the same. * +
