I think they may not be full autos, something to do with the clutch setup that makes it a different class? Cheaper to make as a result? * +

Tiptronic steptronic etc all hav 1 thing in commen. Theyr controled by an electronic module like a cars ecu. From ther d tronic part in each name. * +

Steptronic,n ds is my favrit.i saw it 1st on d audi,,,in d,midle 90s.u hav ur usual P.R.N.D.L.2., AUTO,n if u pul d lever2 1syd,therz anudr slot,dat has a + n a -,dat goes in2manual,+is 4 higher gearz,n - 4d lower.u chang ea.gear lyk hw u wud a manual car.again.no clutch. * +
