The st has cheaper tuning potential,extracting power from an na engine is more expensive than extracting power from a turbocharged engine. * +

yeh the new type R just isnt as good as the older vertions , plus it looks wired . st all the way , moretune do a cheep chip straie plug in and drive job that gives a big hike in power * +

The type r is as good as the old one, bob you can't base your knowledge there on top gear. However when it comes to ride I would choose the ST, but you've gotta try them for yourself and see what you like 2.0l na 0-62 in 6.6 or 2.5 turbo 0-62 in 6.8 seconds (as now quoted by ford) you can tune a ST cheaper than a Type R and the paint is shocking on the type r! * +
