u can update 9700 software to OS 6... some people are fine with it... i did it n it was great but i had phonebook issues so went back to OS 5... i prefer OS 6 so much more... the way the media is well organised n the speed of net is different. the screen looks sharper too... 9780 has the memory advantage too and the better camera * +

9780 is much better. i had one until i had problems with my upgrade, so cancelled the contract. it just has more memory which sadly is needed to run at the speed os6 runs at. yes you can run os6 on 9700 to get the same effect, but its not quite the same. i'd rather have my 9780 again, because its stable, better battery, faster, and has face detection with a 5MP camera. * +

9780/6.0.0.285 again, 9700 os6 just didn't compare, now I have webbkit browser and plenty of memory with a decent camera. I will await the dakota now. *
