Hey guys, I have a problem with my BB bolt 2 on MTN SA.. Every time I use applications like ubersocial or appworld the BB sign next to the 3G disappear! Therefore no BIS! I have to switch to 2G to get the connection back... Very annoying! Plz help!! * +

Try to resend your service books it might help. my wife's 9300 does the same when she uses appworld. * +

what do u mean phly? Mine's set on blackberry.net and authentification disabled? yesterday i dwnld large game ''amazing pool''. i opened it, started to play a round like just a couple of minutes, pressed red phone to check the time and saw BIS sign gone. I thought, what!? why does it need internet?? i requested my balance, it deducted 10Mb!!! for what? i deleted the game. i've encountered this with many 3rd party apps from app world. free just isn't free anymore you know... * +

if you have an APN set chances are you are getting charged. now the blackberry.net used to be a free APN which people used to force apps that dont use BIS to use an APN that will not cost them. I would suggest you set no APN and see what happens. Heck it may even be the cause of ur slow speeds maria.72. with no APN set if apps are gonna charge you u'll be notified that you may be charged for that data. The last time i tried setting APN to blackberry.net i lost BIS sign for the entire night. * +

ok, i've deleted the blackberry.net and unticked apn settings enabled. now everything is completely blank and no ticks. is this right @phly? i hope you're right about the speeds man that'll be swell! * +
