Wow, my R5 rifle nr was 33805, in 1986-1987.... good ol Army days!!Just had to mention it when I saw the post!...Also reminds me of my PTI,Corporal Fox, die bliksem! Maar ag, it was lekker ol days, I did my bit..... * +

Hoedspruit, and then Klippan, near Mafikeng.....used to be a Radar Monitoring Facility, has been dismantled now....I was an RP in the army, Regiment Policeman....Did Operation Wild Rose in Soweto..the cruelty sickened me, unneeded violence against old people..... * +

All in the name of finding illegal firearms and ammo.....yes, we did find those, I'm no racist, but what I saw those 2 nights is something to remember.......not fun watching murder being comitted in front of my eyes....and children being raped in the backrooms.....most soldiers behaved like they were animals, the power over life and death...I saw it all.. * +
