Hey everyone. WTF is up with Google on ur standard browser? Everytime I run a search, it gives me alternate links but when I click on a link its like google extracts the info I wanted from that site and displays it on a google page. It never takes me directly to the site I requested. Is this some sort of ploy for Google to increase its h*ts? Seems really underhanded to me * +

you're on a mobile phone, so you get redirected to google mobile. when you enter a link, google alters the page to mobile format. you can disable it at the bottom of the page * +

Hi, about a week ago, the google icon in my phone browser changed color to a blue g . And ever since then , the pages I search for have been modified for mobile view. I've gone into the Google Preferences and changed the setting but it still shows mobile view for all the pages ! How can I fix this or is this something new that I have to live with ? * +

when viewing this page, press the S b*tton, then choose Browser Configuration, and the scroll down to see Browser Identification. you will get 3 options, BlackBerry, Firefox and Internet Explorer. At least that is how it is on my 8520. someone with a newer model might post the correct place to find it * +
