Havent used a Playbook, but here's what i can say about iPad: its Fast, ridiculously smooth, has a TON of optimized apps from BBC and CNN news apps, to entire cooking and recipe books spread out into an app with HD tutorial vids to even educational textbooks, many pvt highschools here in SA now had iPad part of the stationary list, its quite a device, but it is limited e.g. no BT file sharing, and you're locked to iTunes. * +

Well, on a playbook internet is free, u can sideload Android apps, Torrent downloaders like Playtorrent or A-torrent, Swarm torrent, basically download anything u want, free youtube etc etc....plus it supports bbm on tablet itself with Os2.1... more usable if u know how......but that's just me...... * +

I download full hd movie torrents from torrent.net, tv series, software etc etc.....no limits, what more does a tablet need to offer?.......I use Swarm torrent downloader most of the time, I got my email, get my music free, (mp3juices.com),it simply is a versatile platform..... * +

your best bet would be a Samsung Galaxy Note10.1 , its got Android4.0 ICS, and is a great mix of both worlds. It has all the major lifestyle, news, social networking, productivity apps and games as well as the fact that it is an open platform and allows a ton of customization. * +
