just bought a playbook for my son. do they have bbm with their own PIN? or can it only be through bridge from a mobile device(phone)?? * +

No, only thru bridge on mobile phone, and it only works on playbook if u have the latest version of BBM installed on your phone...... * +

And u need the latest firmware installed on your playbook. If u need help with that, Google how to upgrade firmware...... * +

Sorry, missed part of your question.....the playbook doesn't have its own BBM pin, it reads BBM messages from the phone......... * +

the new playbook will come with 4G so you just pop a sim in it and it will have its own bbm nice for a reason u don't need to bridge anything and its LTE raedy (3.9G) * +

When will it be available?......I'm too lazy to google it..... * +

Thats good to know but the real question is, will the networks be able to reach an agreement with RIM with regards to LTE, eg the iphone 5 will not have LTE in sa. Apple will not release any LTE Settings to networks unless an agreement is reached between them * +
