To everyone, hello! To cut straight to da bone, video files downloaded from a bb can't play on other mobiles cos of an extra extention name which is .rem eg: Die Hard.3gp.rem * +

Even when downloading using UCweb that extention pops up in da video file name. How does one avoid .rem extention name? What is the correct path to take when downloading video files? * +

since when does that happen I've had 2 blackberries in past 3yrs and that has never happened not even on ucweb. I have seen it on another site when I tried to copy picture files then I get like lisa.jpg.pim then all I did is after its stored I edit the filename and removed the .pim to make it lisa.jpg and then the file is viewable on my bb and my other devices. * +

and that's from that website to try and protect their files a weak way but none the less effective if its total noobs that download the files and don't edit the file extensions. * +

and you can if you use ucweb specify what to call the file just rename it before downloading when it ask where to download the file to. I suggest that u check your memory card for a virus coz that could add extentions to files * +

Thnx a lot! but when I put the m/card into a 5800 they don't appear at all. And when I check da file manager there is a question mark icon next to a video file with a .rem extention * +

And when I rename it, and remove the .rem extension, it says smthng like 'THE FILE MIGHT BECOME UNUSABLE AFTER NAME CHANGE' and still the question mark icon appears * +
