What difference does it make where you meet someone? Online? A bar? In the workplace? I think 'meeting' someone on line has advantages. Meeting face to face is very much a physical attraction initially. Online you get to know the person. So you not falling in love with a physical object but someone's personality. I know, we going to have all the sceptics out in force saying you cannot fall for someone you have never met etc, but you can like what that person stands for + it's not superficial
