Take it you both have different phones? Certain phones pick up signals better then others, and also you can also boost ur signal but most people dont cos it tends to drain the battery quicker. Maybe ur girlfriends phone is on this setting so can pick it up better. That said, in this day and age to lose signal 5x in one day doesn't sound good *
