I had the same problem when i first got my k850i. Sent it back an it developed another fault with the touch screen b*ttons. So sent it back again an not had any trouble since. I will say its a buggy phone though an crashes fairly often. Also the menu's are v slow especially on wap or listening to music * +

Yo i fixed it.:) really wasn't that hard. . The touch pad comes with the keypad. All i did was replace it and it working. . Hardest part was removing the screen but it was a breeze. . (banana) * +
