yeah, that seemed to be a problem to me with all my SE phones. Though solved it by not yanking the cable end out but rather tilt down a bit and pull out. In most cases when the prob got worse i would simply and carefully widen/ stick a tooth pick or pen lid through the two pointy like structures at both ends of the charger terminal that enters the phone and all would be well. * +

Ive never been rough with a phone. I treat the fastport like a delicate lil part, bt at sumtime it has this problem. SE should get rid of it,its ridiculously bulky and unnecessary for a phone in 2009. * +

Yeah i agree @polo.@gtr1, cleaning doesnt help for me, charger works ok if inserted properly, headphone doesnt. * +

@suresh...mayb th copper contacts 4 headphone r corroded. Try polishing it. But i never really had a problem on mine even tho phone is ancient now n th fastport look extremely worn but it connects properly everytime.lol * +

I stil dont get how ppl damage their phones.lol i never had a problem wid fastport or even th dreaded joystick of th k750i. Yrs down th line n even joystick works perfect. Keypad has not been giving proper feedback n past month but its expected from age n extra heavy usage. * +
