I have been a star trek fan since star trek 2 was released. Why are people online so up in arms about canon with this new movie? A totally new unseen tos adventure. Time may have meant recasting but the buzz is very good. Franky i think the attitude of these self titled true fans to be embarrassing. their behaviour has contributed to star trek fans fanatical reputation with the general populace. * +

Star Trek is so gonna be amazing people critized JJ Abrahms but he pulled it off nice reboot to the franchise young fresh cast and the cast are well casted :) * +

Its is still at 100 on rotten tomatoes with some reviews in already. I havent been looking forward to a film this much since Indy 4 * +

Ive been a fan of star trek since 1985 and I cant wait for this movie to come out Ive always wanted to see what captain James T. Kirk, Spock, Sulu, Uhura and the rest of the crew were like when they were just rookies and how young james kirk ended up being the well known james kirk. * +

Here here netty. I saw simon pegg on jonathon ross tonight. They showed a clip of the new film. it was eerie how familiar kirk spock and scotty were in the scene. The exact same as tos yet totally different. I had faith in jj from the get go thanks to mi3..but this is shaping up to be an awful lot more than i was expecting * +

The new film is based in an alternate timeline. I dont see it as going backwards. I see it as using the template that made star trek so popular in the first place as a springboard for new stories. Also brent spiner was born in 1949. It made sense to kill off data as he is supposed to be ageless but brent spiner is not. * +
