I can't see either changing the specs. I wouldn't be surprised if both companies already new each others planned specs, or at least had a rough idea. * +

Only minor things can happen if Microsoft wants to out spec Sony. Increase in RAM, however not the speed, processor clock speed can be slightly increased and that's about it. The GPU can't be changed this late in the game. Any major changes and the next Xbox will be a machine for late Q1 or Q2 2014. *
