That's too much. It will take at least a year and some price drops until the majority of console gamers could get one, and by then, if the PS4 is cheaper, it will be too late. * +

There will be a cheaper version if you buy 2 years live . Doubt sony will be much cheaper to be honest . What i dont get is these things are basicly using off shelf pc components so should be cheaper than the last generation costs . I paid 450 for a release day ps3 and im not giving sony thatsort of money again

The thing is though....Sony got ripped apart for launching the PS3 at a high price, and it did play into Microsoft's hands.....so if this is true, why the hell are Microsoft doing the same thing with the 720? It's just idiotic

I paid 450 for a release day ps3 and im not giving sony thatsort of money again If Sony are aiming for a 300 quid launch price though....maybe they'll decide to drop it even further...take the inital hit on the console sales but it'd help em build a bigger userbase initally and give em the headstart that the 360 had over the PS3.... Probably still too early to be sure, but the situation with Sony/MS looks like it could reverse again next gen. * +

Sonys profits are simply horrendous how they are still trading is beyond me . They must have secured some massive loans to keep going . Ps4 could make or break the company * +
