Gamers are upset and rightly so, but the xbox one just isnt meant for us. Think about the iphone or the ipad and you will get an idea as to who their target audience is. Does microsoft hate gamers? I dont know, maybe they just dont care. * +

MS are trying to get their products into everyones daily lives. Even though the people who bought Windows 8 clearly told them they want an OS with a Start button and didn't want the Metro cr*p, MS refused to budge, at first, even now they have plans for putting the Start button back the Start menu will still be absent. * +

The Xbox is an idea to get a media box in everyones homes. A device that will work like a home theatre PC and will replace all the other boxes you have under you TV. They think it is what people want and it is the future. Even though they only showed games at E3, that is not the main purpose of the Xbox One. * +

MS goals are very clear, they want to get rid of everything that's not made by them, they want to connect everything from phones, TV and gaming etc.. and push out their competitors. They have bought into the idea that many have said about consoles dying out and gaming becoming more of a casual thing. The One is not a gaming console, it is a media box. * +
