loved my fiesta 1.9 diesel (daydream) .....fords are great drives tbf and a lot of other makes are a nightmare to maintain, and always seem to follow a pattern of having the same same problems, only problem i had with fords i had was a oil filter and a air tube that cut the power when it wriggled loose * +

Since Ford fitted proper independent suspension (control blade) to the Focus in the late 90s they have usually built fun to drive well handling cars. VW and everyone else eventually started offering similar systems. The Focus came out and at the time when people were buying mk3 Astras and Rover 400s and mk1 Meganes etc the Focus blew them all away in packaging, ride, handling and build quality for its price. Then the mk5 Fiesta arrived and was a huuuuuge improvement on the previous generation and its rivals. They are all fun to drive. * +
