When I connect my ps3 with HDMI the HDMI option shows in sources but there is black screen I have tried pressing it till one beep etc but to no luck have tried two different cables too * +

btw that is what happens when you connect a PS3 to a non HDCP compliant monitor. Make of that what you will. * +

Disconnect hdmi and leave ps3 connected with av..turn on ps3.change settings to hdmi, screen should go black,now plug the hdmi cord back in within 30 seconds.if still not working try another hdmi input if tv has one, also make sure tv settings set to hdmi, some have input selector from av to hdmi to cable . * +

is ur tv 1080p? u might need 2 turn it to 1080i. in the ps3 settings * +
