I thought it was great, like blocking the doors to the funicular room with soda machines etc. No need for a shootout. (idol) * +

The boss fights were contracted out and done by somebody else. Go figure. Great game without them, or modified. Does invoke the spirit of the original. still one of the greatest games ever made, ever. One of the most influential too. Its over 13 years old. s**t I'm old I remember playing it at school (lol) * +

I can't agree with that.. the original and invisible war (to an extent) both offered clearly distinct paths through the game depending on your choices.. HR never.. it was far too linear * +

I am not saying it is the same quality, I chose my words carefully, invoking the spirit of it. It is still a deus ex experience, of which the original is unlikely to be matched. Remake time perhaps * +

To me, it would have been better if they never added the Deus Ex name to it.. I know it sounds daft/elitist, but that name sets a certain standard which just wasn't met or even approached.. Having the game throw points at you for hacking random control panels (which was ridiculously easy) and just figuring out that the game wants you to go one way, so if you go the other way first, you'll get a load more xp, completely ruined it (I never did either after I realised that it was going to keep giving me xp too fast to keep any challenge to the game). It also threw ammo at you.. you could just buy any upgrade without any consequence to how you'd play the game (if you didn't want to spend points on hacking, you could just use the worms which were laying around everywhere) whereas with the original, I could sit there for 5-10mins just trying to figure out which aug I would probably need most.. the ending was cr*p too.. no more making a decision in advance and playing the rest of the game * +

playing the rest of the game according to that choice, just a case of the last scene you pick one of four options.. good game, terrible addition to the series *
