With a decent set of duracell rechargables it will last ages . 1 set in the remote 1 on charge ,although in this day and age it should be rechargable but its not the end of the world . I find it as good as the 360 pad . Will compare it to the ps4 pad when it arrives tommorow * +

Once thing I've learned is you can't put cheap batteries in an Xbox pad and then expect enjoyable gaming...most non premium batteries are a fraction too small and they just rattle around inside. My advice is buy a wall charger with batteries included... asda will have one for 15 quid or invest in a rechargeable battery pack.... don't fk about with 99p stock kodaks * +

The pad is as good as the 360 pad but i would not say better . Well apart from the d pad that really in this day and age should not even be on there . Who the fk uses a dpad for gaming * +

A lot of people still use the dpad. There are many games that utilize the dpad. You need the dpad for battlefield and fighting games are better with the dpad. * +
