Oh hells yeah, the third installment into the cybertron series is coming and I am pumped..
But wait, hang on.... It's a sequel and serves as a companion game to the upcoming s**tfest of Michael bay movies?
NOT being made by high moon studios?
Go fk yourselves Activision the * +

Now from what I can fathom, it takes place after fall of cybertron and before Transformers 1
Those unfamiliar with the cybertron series, it's a G1 era transformers game set in the dying days of the Civil War on cybertron with its sequel seeing the survivors leaving for earth in the ark. It was probably the best transformers game ever and high moon done for this what Rocksteady done for batman with Arkham.
It has a great story, classic childhood transformers, great gameplay and a brilliant soundtrack and in no way should it be associated with the movie tie in games, given how fkin terrible they were * +

So, if they were so bad, why have they decided to merge the two universes together?
Money.... Activision are greedy fks who own the transformers gaming franchise and at a guess, I'd say high moon studios were originally in line to create the third title but when they found out it would have a direct connection with the Michael Bay films they probably cautiously backed away thinking 'fk THAT!'
So this is where Edge of reality step in... Or wayforward technologies for the Nintendo version (yes, it's being released on the 3ds)

Edge of reality are not the most well known household gaming name, founded in 1998, they started by developing games for the n64 and worked up from there
Let's see what else they made
Monster Truck Madness 64(Nintendo 64)Spider-Man(Nintendo 64)Tony Hawk's Pro Skater(Nintendo 64)Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2(Nintendo 64)Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3(Nintendo 64)The Sims(Gamecube, PlayStation 2, Xbox)Pitfall: The Lost Expedition(Gamecube, PlayStation 2, Xbox)Shark Tale(Gamecube, PlayStation 2, Xbox)Over the Hedge(Gamecube, PlayStation 2, Xbox)The Incredible Hulk (2008 video game)(Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, PS2, Wii)Cipher Complex(on hold by Sega) (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)Dragon Age: Origins(PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)The Sims 3(PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)The Sims 3 Pets(PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)Mass Effect(PlayStation 3)Loadout(PC)Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark(PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii, Wii U, 3DS)

Now, edge of reality only worked on mass effect and dragon age with bioware and produced n64 versions of THPS. looking at the rest I'd say we are fked..
But I see loadout at the bottom, loadout is a free to play PC multiplayer shooter with cell shade graphics and is actually pretty good and given how much I loved the cybertron games and my caring nature, I'm gonna give edge of reality a chance on this.
I've see the launch trailer too, it looks exactly like the cybertron games which is a good thing and the artwork abd music appears to be as good as ever and optimus prime sounds hardc*re
So at best this will probably score as well as the previous 2 but will be nothing groundbreaking because Activision feel the need to release it on five platforms. Which means it'll be developed for the current gen and polished for the next gen * +

The 3ds version is a strategy RPG
Says it all * +

OK. Slight correction, it takes place before the ark is launched. *
