You sure the download wasnt corrupted in any way.. why not transfer the update to a USB flashdrive? Or try doing it in recovery mode. Hold the ps3 power button down until the console goes on and then off again.. it will make 2 beeping noises and then boot into recovery mode I think. Just google the instructions as I stand under correction. The do the update via that screen. Only reason I can think of is that the file you downloaded was corrupted. Hope this helps * +

That error means it can't read the software update,they recommend to download it and try again or try again using a different external media device,you won't have any problems if you use a fat32 formatted USB stick * +

Just checked now.. the latest firmware is 4.55 which is 194mb.. not 190.. which means the download was incomplete. Redownload and try again buddy * +
