Prey was a class game (sad) but the problem was rather than do a follow up, they decided to go mad and have some crazy massive expanded universe game that took forever to birth and ended up development hell.

I hope that doesn't mean the end of Prey forever because it had proper potential, but the first game took an eternity to get finished so as soon as the sequel wasn't moving along it looked like trouble * +

It was a great game early on last generation, with some interesting game mechanics. Portals, magnetic walkways and moving environment puzzles, variable gravity and unexpected vehicle sections. Good weapons and curious environments. Part organic/mechanical spaceship. So many more mundane shooters get more praise but then the bar has lowered.... * +

As opposed to all those other games where you die so realistically, only to be resurrected at your last checkpoint..

If every other game made you start at the beginning when you died (like in the good old days) then your argument might have carried a bit more weight.. as it is, it doesn't *
