i have a HP550 notebook laptop 2gb ram,1.8 core2duo,160gb hdd home vista bassic.When i run sims 1 it works fine,Sims2 somehwere always at different parts it freeze and i must crl,alt,dlt to end the game in task manager why is that?And will sims3 work?Why is it that my laptop cant run sims?vista maybe? * +

I take it u have Intergrated gfx? On sims 2 try lower the graphics in settings, get the latest update for it also, as for sims 3 it will struggle if it struggles on sims 2 coz sims 3 is a lot more graphical n more demanding * +

Sims 3 needs high graphics and sims 2 doesnt have option to change graphic and it whil help better if you tell which graphics you have * +

Probably GMA X3100 integrated graphics. This should run sims 2 like you say but pretty poorly. Intel will have newer drivers most likely but they are generic so don't always suit every laptop. X3100 is basically absolute minimum for sims 3. So it'll probably run, but horribly so * +

Thanx u guys but where on my laptop can i see what graphic card i got?i know u type in something and it shows all ur specs but the graphics dont show on my computer properties * +

For graphics you can hit the start menu and type dxdiag into the search box and hit return. If you click on the display tab it'll say top left the graphics and top right the driver version * +

Or easier just right click my computer then if you can see select device manager or manage then device manager dxdiag is very boring * +

Dxdiag is an easy way to see full graphic details along with full driver versions.
