You do realise that even having a points system costs a cr*p load to maintain and run? It only adds an extra layer of costs to microsoft in administration and transactions and stuff to the simple task of buying something. tea2 they probably realised that they will only end up with more money going back to paying straight out for it. silly microsoft * +
