I have tryed updating my iphone for the past 3 weeks, iv connected it to my pc and selected devices then check for updates it says theres a new update available so i select update and it says extracting software then comes up with backing up iphone at this point it gets so far and then freezes and wont go any further iv left it 45mind to an hour and still stays at same place wont go any further *

Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts as to why its doing this ? I desperatly need an update as my iphone keeps crashing ;( *

Could you not just restore the phone via the app supplied with itunes *
