*Select an MP3 ringtone from itunes * +

*Go to edit, *preferences, *click import setting (you will only have to do this once) * +

* right click the song, *Get info, *Options, *select the start/stop time for your ringtone (obviously listen to the song first) * +

**press ok, *Right click the song again and select create AAC version, *this will go into your recently added, * drag to a folder on your desk top where you will kepp your ringtone files * +

*on your desktop right click the ringtone to rename it, *Delete the last digit of the file name and change to an 'r' (so it should show 'm4r' at the end) * +

*Double click the file and it will open back up in itunes automatically adding the song to your ringtones library, (wallah, it's like magic but for free) * +
