What is it? And is it worth doing it to an iPhone? * +

Jailbreaking allows you to install 'friendly' applications and to shop for apps otherthan the apple approved apps. However if your part of the rich elite and not interested in anything not co trilled by apple then you dont need a jailbreak. It's not the simplest of things to do but well worth it in my opinion * +

Not the simplest thing to do....i beg to differ on this one.Compared to hacking a s60 i would say it's just a matter of pressing a button on your pc and thats the job done. * +

You name it and it's available. And no jailbreak is not an easy thing. You have only to look at my posts which covers some aspects. For example apple's kill switch, downloading and using cydia and installous, downloading and installing friendlys, getting apps to sync with iTunes, getting phone to back up, problems associated with restarting device, springboard and the rest. In my view it's just as * +

difficult as nokia and indeed more so, but definetly worth it as I hate networks and manufactures to tell me what I can and cannot do with a piece of equipment I have pad over gbp500 for in particular when I own said equipment outright. * +
