I've got it Dani and yes it works, I've been pinging akash whilst he's in India. Although I've got the full app not the lite version * +

I tried lite then got full because it said you can send images and now it wants me to update and pay again for images. I will email them as that's false advertising. Also got whatsapp as thats cross platform across iPhone and blackberry but will use for family and friends as that uses your actual mobile number and some friends I know a long time virtually but not in the flesh so don't really want to part with private information. * +

Yes it asks me to update so I can send pictures, haven't bothered yet though and don't think I will TBH. I only use ping! as like you said you don't have to give your phone number out, have you tried it yet Dani? * +
