I have a new iPhone 3gs which is running firmware 3.1.3 and bootloader 05.12.01, model serial is MC131B. Anyone know if I can jailbreak this and how? * +

I put up a topic about it kate. It can be done. Be aware that after you downgrade, you need to download iecovery to reboot your phone-don't jailbreak until you do that or you won't have service. Anywho.....just look for my topic. * +

Does it have the .ipsw extension or is it a zip? Does the file look like a stack of books or a block? Did you use a PC or Mac? Did you downgrade iTunes to 8.2? * +

i got a problem actualy, i can downgrade a 3g to v3.1.2 but i cant downgrade a 3gs to 3.1.2, when i do the shift thing it does not allow me and comes up with some expired ros omething error i think, well its deffo some kind of error, but the 3g downgrade works perfect. p.s im using latest itunes, could that be it? * +

In my experience, its best to use an older version of itunes and it worked best on my pc, instead of mac. * +
