Turns out there is an Apple Store ( Oh Nirvana!) less than 30 minutes away. I want to take my iPhone 3GS in to figure out why it gets such cr*ppy reception and my 3G doesn't. I can just restore to 3.1.2, which removes my jailbroke apps or should I restore to 3.1.3 and go through the nightmare that is downgrading and jailbreaking....again. * +

They won't upgrade it without my permission will they? I get poor reception on 3.1.3 and 3.1.2. * +

Just leave it on 3.1.2, tell them your 3G keeps going off and to get it back on you need to put it in airplane mode and then back out. They'll replace it for you as there's no way of repairing a problem like that * +

Best to get it replaced, I used that excuse when I had a dead pixel because I wanted a new iPhone instead of them just replacing the screen and they swapped it without any hassle. Oh and by the way, how many times have I told you to goto the genius bar witch? Your reply.... The nearest ones 9000 miles away * +

Most likely. Thats the problem. Its jailbroke, blah, blah, blah....but unusable. * +
