Hi I brought an iPhone 3G from good old eBay .. Now it's locked to o2 ! So it must be an o2 phone . If I update it It will ask me to activate it won't it ? If so I don't have the original sim that came with it so can any pay and go o2 sim activate it or does it have to be activated with the original sim card it came with ???? Thanks for any help with this I don't want to update if I can't then * +

Activate it .. It's never been jail broken and I don't really want to do that yet hence wanting the 4 upgrade thanks again everyone * +

No it doesn't. Update it and ya wont have to do anything else. Might be better off jailbreaking first, the saving your 'blobs' on Cydia. * +
