I'm not a rich guy and have always wanted an iphone however couldn't afford one. I started working for a service provider and I now can afford a 3GS, I'm getting it tomorrow. I wanted to know if 4.1 is available for 8gig 3GS in SA. If so any way I can download the update at work and update offline at home? * +

At work we have a signal booster so 3G is always available, I want to download itunes and the update on my friends laptop using my modem, and was hoping to update after charging my phone. * +

Jailbreaking doesn't matter to me as I'm new to iphone and still learning how to use it so I'm not interested in jailbreaking, and another thing I would like to know is what are the must have freewares. * +

Do a search here to learn about the diff softs we all use. Congrats! Yes you can download the update on your laptop and update later. I think you can do any iOS 4 with the 3GS. * +

I used symbian for 4 years and I'm just tired of it, I purchased a sony w995 at a very high price and the very next month it went 50 off. I also go a bb8520 its nice for free browsing and bbm, but I will sell it and replace with curve 8300 * +
