iRecovery should get you out the loop,changing your host file is used when downgrading via Cydia. * +

There a topic by me not far back with a guide in it lol! Try 'Recboot' first, really easy to use, if that fails try 'TinyUmbrella', also easy, if all that fails follow the instructions int the r'recovery mode help' topic by me not far back. Follow them word by word !hough lol! *
