just be aware it invalidates your warranty when you do it . apple wont even touch an iphone out of warranty if its been jailbroken so your stuffed if it goes wrong. other brands of phone can be repaired allmost anywhere. this is what an assistant told me recently in an apple store and her manager also backed her claim. * +

@askaspel don't be such a noob, jailbreaking is not illegal so why can't it be discussed here? I can safely say that around 70percent of iPhone users are jailbroke. As s.mcclel says it's just as easy as restoring through iTunes to remove any trace of a jailbreak, I've took numerous handsets back to Apple that had been jailbroken and had them swapped out without hassle. Your talking out your arse * +

Apple won't touch an iDevice if it is jailbroken you are right about that but why anybody would take a device in knowing it's jailbroken is beyond me. Once you restore through iTunes there is no trace of a jailbrake, I was pointing out it's not illegal as you were making out we shouldn't be discussing it on these forums * +

Why would anybody complain to you @askaspel? If anybody wants to jailbreak then that is their prerogative, if something goes wrong you just restore. It's not hard... * +

Most jailbreaks are as easy as A.B.C,if(in my opinion only)if a person who owns an iPhone couldn't perform a jailbreak upon their iPhone then that person possibly shouldn't own the phone itself as a basic knowledge(very basic)is already required for activation,synchronisation etc. * +
