Mates ip4 won't restore and he has deleted the cydia icon. He wants to restore so he can re-jailbreak .... Any ideas on how to get cydia back ??? Thanks * +

Get the phone into recovery mode by switching the phone off,turn iTunes on and while holding both the sleep and home buttons connect the phone to it's sync cable..or try..holding both buttons again,the phone will switch off and as soon as you see the Apple logo appear let go of the sleep button only while continuing to hold the home button....you will have to jailbreak again though to get Cydia... * +

Firstly, which version of iOS is on your friends phone? If he used the patched iPad bootloader to unlock it won't restore through iTunes. He'll have to make a custom IPSW with pwnage tool or ultrasn0w and then update. Google for instructions on that. * +
