this may be a stupid question however i'm still gonna ask. I have dockin stations for both and tend to put them in the dock when not in use. Now the question is....by constantly puttin them on the dock even tho they have some battery life left am i ruinin the life expectancy of the battery? I know its not wise constantly charge a phone as it can ruin the battery so jst curious if same applies * +

I don't think it will hurt them, all the docks constantly charge the devices these days, if it was going to damage the device theme there would be warnings etc on the docks. * +

I charge my iPhone at least once a day and haven't had any problems, you can buy covers now that can add up to 50 to the battery life * +

Lithium polymer batteries have a negligible memory effect. Older phones with nicd and nimh batteries did, which is why you had to fully charge them when you got them and discharge them properly. Lithium ion/polymer batteries don't suffer this effect. Typically, they'll keep 80 percent capacity after 400 full charges, charging it like that won't harm it at all * +

Dtwilla, on the Apple website it says you still need to cycle the batteries once a month to get maximum longevity out of them. * +

Maybe so witch, I used loads of batteries over the years in rc and lipo's just don't have that memory, having said that, this is for a different application, so do as with and apple say yes * +
