might not work for all but reportedly works for most, simply go to cydia uninstall ur appsync then uninstall installous, reboot phone then install installous and appsync then reboot again it should work, let me know if this works for u * +

tried this myself using appsync 4.0 and installous 4 from hackulo all works fine no errors for me now :) * +

ok another example try using ifile, under applications go to properties and make sure owner is set to mobile not root as for some reason files cant write to that drive * +

Could you elaborate a little more about the iFile method...like do you mean that we should locate where Installous is installed and change the permissions from there ? * +

Changed mine it was set to 1001 and not root as you indicated....tried it and it made things worse...I get API unavailable as soon as I try to load the page. * +
