My friend has prob, i will copy and paste what it is ''plugged it in to get the update now it wont do anything... it has the iTunes symbol on the front of the page and the USB, i try and turn it off and it wont! plugged it in to iTunes again and it says that the phone is in retored mode and needs to be restore before it will work with iTunes!!!! What the hell! dont wanna restore cause i dont wanna lose my data and cant back it all up before i restore!!!!!!! any ideas? * +

Ask her to download tinyumbrella and then plug the phone in. There is an option within the application to kick it out of DFU mode. * +
