Forty years ago I was 3000 ft up one of the paps of jura when a heavy mist came down. As the mist cleared, I saw a small red deer about forty feet downhill from me. I heard a whooshing sound and looked up to see a seagull the size of a Cessna 150 swooping down! It grabbed the deer in its beak and banked hard left, the windrush from its huge wings flattened the Heather, and it flew off up the hill and out of sight * +

I think radioactivity is the most likely cause. Perhaps it's parents nested in dounray nuclear facility. Mutant and giant creatures have been found at other places, like Chernobyl, hunterston B, etc * +

(lol) are u sure the seagull wasnt a eagle as they do nest in that region (chin) seen a few when been in scotland. and they can appear like other birds from a distance. * +
