If the cat is heavier than the toast, they'll land cat-side down.

If the toast is as heavy as the cat, it'll be so big it'll act as a sail, and they'll land cat-side down.

If the toast is heavier than the cat, most of the weight will be the butter, that will then head south first, and they'll land butter-side down. * +
