I'm 46 years 'young' and lived in the UK all my life in London, and I've never heard this particular problem with trains before, must be a regional thing. I've heard the old ''leaves on the track'' chestnut though, lol! hehe

London not too bad to live mainline, underground trains and buses seem to run over bank hols but if you live in the sticks everything comes to a standstill sad * +

Not London, do my shopping at helston, abt a good 13 miles from my home. I didnt begrudge paying that much for the taxi, as had 3 heavy bags,it was just started to rain, and i was p*ssed off with the bus company, and wating for bus that faileD to turn up, there were other ppl there also angry, we all wanted to go home.

55 quid is a rip off hun, i would shop locally next time lol * +
