I remeber used to go on the over ground train to the sea side, was the only time went on the over ground, till we moved. And we had a over ground near where we lived so mum used to take us on there into Central London, and me and me sis would get so excited abt it cos we called the over ground train the holiday train (train) (lol) * +

I remember one year goin to the beach and it was swamped with ladybirds everywhere like ya cudnt see properly coz they were just flyin everywhere! Thay day trip didnt last long lol * +

Yes, I remember the Woolworths plastic sandals and the ridiculous fishing kit consisting of thick orange nylon string wrapped round a wooden winder thing ,with a massive circular lead weight and hook * +

I remember having to go to littlehampton most sundays, mum n dad wld do sandwiches frm sunday roast, cpl flasks of tea for them n a bottle of water for us kids n the dog ... Pack up the car then we wld all head for the sand dunes at littlehampton and stay there all day, i hated it but i suppose parents thought it a nice family trip n the sandy sandwiches made the day 
I wont sit on the beach more then a hour now
