Depends what you're looking for really.Chthonic for some black metal,Dir En Grey for some hard rock slash metal,Maximum the Hormone for some punk slash pop slash metal weirdness,and Shadow for some melo-death with very good guitar work. * +

Merzbow is pretty abstract metal :D DO NOT listen to his stuff unless you have an open mind...you might want to try Onmyouza,spelling might be off a bit.Japanese melodic metal,really good stuff. * +
