Thanks deathbed, that's the emo I'm referring to. Revolution summer DC emo as opposed to haircuts and fashion... Saying that, haircuts and fashion isn't the sort of punk I'm after either :) * +

I like the post hardc*re punk, proto emo, mid to late 80's Washington DC bands like the all female Fire Party, Rites Of Spring, One Last Wish, I heard Embrace (not the U.K. band) are good, also check out The Faith/Void album, it was early 80's emo *
