Gas can still escape from the body once it's dead,I worked in a care home and part of my duty was to wash their bodies down once they've died,me and a workmates were doing just this,I was to hold her on her side while the other girl washed down her back,her bottom and down her legs when the body let go of all this gas,my workmates threw the washcloth down and ran out the room leaving me stuck holding this dead woman,the smell was quite something.just thought I'd share that! * +
