No, I understood your stance. I'm just wondering what's your counter argument to thousands of studies that showed a clear difference between a healthy brain and a neurotic one suffering from depression?
Surely if depression isn't real, you wont see any difference. * +

Those are causes for depression; like seasonal or certain external event that induces a particular reaction, but the underlying disease is still depression, isn't it?

Does depression only become real if it's clinically diagnosed? *
